Job Description

Adams & Martin Group is working with a reputable law firm to hire an experienced Legal Billing Specialist to support its finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full billing cycle, including generating, reviewing, and distributing client invoices.
  • Maintain accurate billing records and ensure timely processing.
  • Address client billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
  • Partner with attorneys and staff to ensure compliance with billing policies and best practices.
  • Analyze billing data to identify trends and improve processes.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of billing systems.
  • Safeguard confidential financial and client information.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of legal billing experience within a law firm environment.
  • Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage priorities independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills and discretion with sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a large law firm environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Elite, Aderant, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with e-billing platforms and processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
